Membership Privileges: RDP Library Materials (e-collections)

Access all e-materials in the Library or off-campus. Off-campus access requires you to log in with your iCard barcode and NEOS PIN.

Membership Privileges: Library Materials from Other Libraries

If RDP Library doesn't have the items you need, you can borrow from another library for free, through a NEOS Hold or Interlibrary Loan request. Learn more.

Membership Privileges: Visiting Other Libraries

Your RDP Library membership allows you to visit and borrow materials from other Alberta libraries.
Other NEOS Libraries
RDP Library is a member of NEOS Libraries. Visit other NEOS libraries for free.
While you're visiting another NEOS library, simply use your iCard to borrow items from that library.

Note that, due to COVID-19 restrictions, many NEOS libraries are closed or are restricting access only to their own campus community. Contact the NEOS member library prior to visiting in person.

Red Deer Public Library

Visit any Red Deer Public Library (RDPL) branch for free.

While you're at RDPL, if you wish to borrow items from RDPL, show your Red Deer Polytechnic schedule as proof that you're a current student. RDPL staff will register you as an RDPL member, for free. Some restrictions may apply. Learn more.

Other Alberta Libraries
Visit any library in Alberta for free. Most libraries in Alberta are members of The Alberta Library (TAL).
If you wish to borrow items from another library which is not a NEOS member library nor a branch of Red Deer Public Library, you must plan ahead and obtain a TAL Card from RDP Library before your visit. Once we've issued you a TAL card, you can use it at a TAL library to borrow items. Some local restrictions may apply. Learn more about TAL.
