Membership Privileges: Getting Materials from Other Libraries
If RDP Library doesn't have the items you need, you can have items delivered to RDP Library for your use, for free, through a NEOS Hold or Interlibrary Loan request. Learn more.
Membership Privileges: Other Libraries
Visit any library in Alberta for free.
Other NEOS Libraries
RDP Library is a member of NEOS Libraries.
Privileges associated with NEOS Libraries are changing. From now until May 1, 2025, NEOS Member Libraries are leaving the shared catalogue according to this schedule.
If the Library you wish to borrow from is still participating in the shared catalogue, you can use your iCard to borrow items directly from that Library, for free. Those items can be returned to RDP Library or to that Library directly.
If the Library you wish to borrow from is no longer participating in the shared catalogue, you can visit that Library in person to discuss membership options.
Red Deer Public Library
If you wish to borrow items from Red Deer Public Library, visit any branch with your iCard to get an RDPL Student Membership. Find out more.
Other Alberta Libraries
Most libraries in Alberta are members of The Alberta Library (TAL), ME Libraries, or both. If you wish to borrow items directly from a library which is not a NEOS member library nor a branch of Red Deer Public Library, talk to RDP Library staff, or staff at the other library you wish to use, about the best way to obtain membership privileges.
