How will Interlibrary Loan (ILL) change as RDP Library moves to a new platform?
Answer
On December 2, 2024, the provision of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services transitioned from NEOS to RDP Library.
Users will notice these changes:
- An interim ILL Request form is in use until the launch of the new Library Platform in May.
- Interlibrary loans could take 1 to 3 weeks to arrive. Delivery dates are out of our control.
- Requests may arrive sooner or later than anticipated.
- We will do our best to fill requests, but we may not be able to obtain some items.
- If we're unable to fill your ILL request, you may wish to suggest that RDP Library purchase the item.
- ILL is no longer available to Community members, who instead will need to work with their local public library to obtain interlibrary loans.
ILL is still a free service for RDP students, faculty, and staff.
The changes to ILL are due to Red Deer Polytechnic Library moving to a new platform.
