Connecting to the Guest network
Connect to eduroam using the geteduroam app (not available for Chromebook)
You do not need to use the geteduroam app to connect to the eduroam wireless network, but it is recommended, as it anonymizes your device's connection to the network.
- On your device, go to the geteduroam website and select the appropriate store for your device.
- Follow the installation instructions. If prompted, choose to trust and join the application.
- Open the geteduroam application.
- You will be prompted to select your institution. In the Search, type Red Deer Polytechnic.
- When prompted to log in, enter your RDP email address and password.
- Your device will now be able to connect to eduroam. You may need to select it from the list of available wireless networks.
Note: The use of non-RDP DNS, such as Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 or 1.0.0.1) or Google (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4), may impact the delivery of RDP services when using RDP wireless.
Connect to eduroam: MacOS, iOS, and Windows (without geteduroam)
