How do I download and access Microsoft 365?

Red Deer Polytechnic students, faculty, and staff have access to Microsoft 365, which includes popular software and applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

You can use Microsoft 365, including all the apps and programs, in your web browser. In addition, you are able to install the desktop versions of Microsoft Office apps on up to 5 personal devices.

Note: Some students taking Extended Education classes have access to Microsoft 365. Those students will use their RDP username & password to log in to Microsoft 365.

Access Microsoft 365

  1. Visit office.com and select Sign In.

  2. Enter your RDP email address (students will find this in the top-left corner of your Loop account, under your name and ID number), followed by your Loop password.

Install Microsoft Office Apps on a Personal Device

To install the desktop versions of Microsoft Office apps on your personal device:

  1. Log in to office.com following the instructions above.
     
  2. Click Install Office (near the upper right corner of the page), then follow the installation instructions.

You can visit IT Services' portal and search for 'Office 365,' where you should find information on Microsoft 365. If you don't find the information you need, log in with your RDP username and password to submit a support ticket.
