How do I access Adobe software (Creative Cloud)?

Answer

Adobe Creative Cloud Applications are available on the Library main computers, Library multimedia workstations, Library and Research Common laptops, and on the computers in the Makerspace. A list of available Adobe Creative Cloud apps can be found here.

When using Adobe Creative Cloud apps on these shared computers, it is important to:

Creating an Adobe ID account

The first time that you use Adobe Creative Cloud, you will need to create an Adobe ID account.

To create a new account, open the Adobe Creative Cloud app. On the Sign in page, select Create an account.

The Adobe Creative Cloud "Sign In" page with the "Create an Account" option highlighted

There are two options when creating your Adobe ID account:

  1. Sign in with your Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, or Line account.

  2. Enter your email address and set up a password. You will then be prompted to enter your name, date of birth, and country/region.
Note: The email address used to set up your Adobe ID does not need to be your RDP email address.

Signing in to Adobe Creative Cloud

  1. Double-click on the Adobe Creative Cloud shortcut on the desktop. If the shortcut is not on the desktop, you can open the Windows Start Menu, search for "Adobe Creative Cloud", and select it from the list to run it.

Important: Always use the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application to sign in. Logging directly into an application (e.g., Photoshop) can result in errors accessing your files.

  2. Sign in using your Adobe ID account (enter your email address and password if you set up your account using email, or select Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, or Line if you set up your Adobe ID account that way).

  3. You are now signed in to the Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as all Creative Cloud apps (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, etc.).

Signing out of Adobe Creative Cloud

For multimedia workstations and Makerspace computers only.

You can either sign out of the Adobe Creative Cloud from the Creative Cloud desktop app or from the application that you are using (e.g., Photoshop). The instructions for both methods are listed below.

Note: It is strongly recommended that you restart the computer after signing out. This will erase the files synchronized to the computer, so that no one can access your documents.

From the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app

  1. From the Adobe Creative Cloud application, click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
If you have not added a photo, a stock image may appear instead.

  2. Click Sign Out.
