The Library collection is made up of several distinct parts. Use OneSearch to find items in the RDP Library Collection.

This is the major part of our collection. It includes materials such as print books, eBooks, DVDs, CDs, print and online journals (both scholarly and popular), and streaming videos. Physical materials are located on Floor 2 and electronic materials are available through OneSearch.

Curriculum Collection

The Curriculum Collection supports teacher education programs, and includes materials authorized for use in Alberta schools plus supporting materials, children’s and young adult literature, and non-book items such as sound and video recordings, games, manipulatives, models, and kits. Physical materials are located on Floor 2 and electronic materials are available through OneSearch.

Reserve and Textbook Collection

Reserves are high-demand items available for short-term loan, such as select textbooks and course-specific readings, laptops, and other equipment. Located at the Library Desk on Floor 1.

Red Deer Polytechnic Authors Collection

Physical materials (e.g. print books, DVDs, CDs, etc.) written or produced by Red Deer Polytechnic faculty and staff are acquired by the Library. You can find these items on our shelves by looking for the red “Red Deer Polytechnic (College) Authors” sticker. Located primarily in the Main and Curriculum collections on Floor 2.
