How do I read or download an ebook?

Answer

Read an ebook within your browser

You can read an ebook within your browser, using an online reader such as PDF Full Text.

Download an ebook

You can download an ebook for off-line reading when the "download" function is available. The ebook viewing software, Adobe Digital Editions, may be required. Download the latest Adobe Digital Editions.

Once installed, the software needs to be authorized. This can be done with or without creating a free Adobe ID. Review this EBSCO documentation for instructions on how to authorize the software and then read ebooks.

Note: Older versions of Adobe Digital Editions that used Flash player are obsolete. If you have issues opening an ebook, update Adobe Digital Editions to the latest version.

Note: You may be prompted to sign in with your RDP email address and password prior to downloading the eBook.

Read an ebook on a portable ebook reader

Downloaded ebooks can be transferred to any portable ebook reader that supports Adobe Digital Editions. If you are using an ebook reader, it is recommended that you download the EPUB format, rather than the PDF, as the EPUB format will automatically re-size to fit the screen.
