Most article databases provide a way for you to email, save, download, or generate a stable URL called a permalink for the articles you want to use and return to.
The exact steps to do this vary depending on the article database, but all offer a way to do it. Look around on the article result page for icons labelled email, save, download, and/or permalink. Any of these are good options to save the record for that article.
- Email allows you to email the article to any email address you specify (not just your RDP email).
- Save allows you to save the article to your computer or drive.
- Download allows you to download the article and save it to your computer or drive.
- Permalink or Stable Link generates a permanent and stable URL that you can use to get back to that article, and for use in your citations. Always use a permalink instead of copying the URL contained in the URL address bar at the top of your article search. Learn more about permalinks.
