How will borrowing of library materials change as the library moves to a new platform?
Answer
Red Deer Polytechnic Library is moving to a new platform on May 2, 2025.
RDP Students, Faculty, and Staff
Borrowing of RDP Library Materials
There is no change to borrowing of RDP Library materials for RDP students, faculty, and staff.
From April 15 to May 2, the exact borrowing process for RDP Library materials may work differently on the back end, but Library staff will ensure that RDP Library materials remain available for borrowing by RDP students, faculty, and staff.
RDP Library Materials with Due Dates Between April 1 and May 2
RDP students, faculty, and staff who have RDP Library materials checked out and due between April 1 and May 2 may:
- return items to the Library early, prior to the due date;
- return items to the Library on the due date;
- or, keep items past the due date and return them in early May. There will be no late fines on such items returned in early May.
Materials from Other NEOS Libraries
As of April 15, items from other NEOS Libraries on loan to RDP students, faculty, and staff must be returned to RDP Library so we may send them back to their home NEOS library.
Community Members
Borrowing is suspended for all Community Members from April 1 to May 2, 2025.
