I have a hold on my RDP account. What does that mean and how do I manage that?
Last Updated: Jan 29, 2026    Views: 1

There are many reasons why a student may have a hold on their RDP account. Some of the reasons are:

  • unpaid fees
  • overdue or missing Library materials
  • missing transcripts or documents
  • for International students, failure to complete the Foundations for Success course
  • other reasons

When there is a hold on your account, a message showing the type of hold will display.

A hold will prevent a student from registering for classes and accessing final grades; there may be other consequences.

The hold will be removed once the underlying issue has been resolved.

International students whose hold is related to the Foundations for Success course

Every International student must successfully complete the Foundations for Success course. Successful completion means that the student has completed all quizzes and checklists and achieved full marks on all modules. There are unlimited attempts to complete the course, so please persevere. The hold will be removed once the course is complete.
