Who am I talking to when I use the Library's chat service?

Your first point of contact will be LibBot, who will provide some helpful suggestions to find an answer to your question. At any point during your interaction with LibBot, you can request to connect with Library staff.

If you request to connect with Library staff, your question will be answered by any one of the RDP Library staff. At that point, you will be interacting with a real person! Note that the connection with Library staff is only available during the Library's opening hours.

Please note that LibBot is not an AI (artificial intelligence) tool; rather, it is a rules-based tool that has been custom-built by RDP Library to help our users find the best answer to their question.
