Can I return books from another library to RDP Library?

Answer

You can return books borrowed from any NEOS Library or from Red Deer Public Library to RDP Library, and we'll ensure those books get back to the home library. However, there may be delays due to shipping time. All shipping is free.

Books from other NEOS Libraries

Return books borrowed from any NEOS Library to RDP Library; we'll check them in and ship them back to their home library.

Books from Red Deer Public Library

Return books borrowed from any branch of Red Deer Public Library (RDPL) to RDP Library and we'll ship them back to RDPL. However, our shipping service routes the items via Edmonton, so the books will take several days to arrive at RDPL.

The books will remain on your account until they arrive at RDPL, which may result in the accrual of late fees. Any late fees that accrue should be automatically deleted when the books are retroactively checked in at RDPL. Contact RDPL in the event of a dispute over late fees.

Books from other libraries in Alberta

Books from all other libraries must be returned to the home library directly.
