How do I cite course notes or something from a class?


Each citation style has specific requirements for citing material from a class, such as a lecture, course notes, PowerPoint slides, or material from BlackBoard. Generally, your citation may include this information, although the order of information and the formatting will differ from one style to the next:

  • author(s) 
  • title
  • publication details, such as the name of the class
  • a description of the type of information
