How do I use Journals in Blackboard?

Answer

Journals

Blackboard's Journals tool provides a personal space for you to communicate privately with your instructor. You can also use a journal as a self-reflective tool to post your opinions, ideas, and concerns about your course, or discuss and analyze course-related materials.

Depending on the way your Instructor set up your course, you might find Journals in your Grades page, the course calendar, the course activity stream, or on the Course Content page.

On the journal page, you can add journal entries and comments, view the journal rubric (if applicable), and view comments. If your Instructor grades your journal, the grade will appear in your activity stream.
