Can I share copies of ebooks or articles that I find on the Internet, in Blackboard?

Answer

This information is for faculty at RDP.

Yes, if the ebooks and articles are not infringing (or illegal) copies, it is permissible to share links to these materials with your students. Works should be attributed, and Fair Dealing Guidelines apply to copying portions of these texts.

Be aware that some websites provide access to articles and ebooks that have been uploaded by users, rather than by the publisher. These may be infringing copies, and therefore cannot be used.
